Edwardian Princess Lined Dress w Battenburg Lace / Train From Museum SM

  

This Edwardian gown is made from an ivory silk, similar to a crepe de chine. It hooks and snaps down the back, the bodice is lined in silk with bones in the seams. The front of the dress is smooth, it has pin tucks to take it in around the midrif, waist and upper hips that open at the hips into small pleats. The yoke is beautiful Battenburg lace and it has bands of the same lace around the sleeves. The bottom has some wider tucks around the hem, the skirt is not lined, but has seam binding around the edges of the seams to finish them.

One underarm has a 1 1/4 inch tear coming straight down from the underarm seam, easily mended, there's broken brides in the lace, lace has some age spots and a few very minor, small scattered spots on the dress, a little dirty on the fold line of the hem, missing a couple of snaps/hooks/eyes, 3 small holes on the train, very faint underarm stain on one side. It measures 34 inches around the bust, waist is 27, hips are full, across the back shoulder is 13 inches and is 54 1/4 inches long in front falling to a train.
