Vintage 1980's Laura Ashley Dress White, Floral Print (UK 14) Modern UK 10-12

  
This is a stunning & very eye-catching, long vintage, floral dress - by Laura Ashley. Age - Circa 1980's/40 years old.

There is some very minor'yellowing' in a couple of areas, to the neutral/off-white base colour, of no more than the size of a 10pence coin. So unnoticeable that they could not be seen when taking pictures.

Colour: Off-white base colour, complimented and contrasted with a feminine floral print throughout using violets, yellows, greens, pinks and greys. UK Size (as per label states): 14 - but please check against the measurements below, to ensure fit, as vintage clothing tends to be slightly smaller vs.

It is more of a UK 10 - 12. The mannequin used in the photographs is a UK 12 & it fitted just fine. Measurements (laid flat & measured outside).

Total Length (from top of shoulder to hem): 51 inches. Width of waist (where horizontal line to the skirt section starts): 39 cm. Width of hem opened up: 58.5 inches. A beautiful, long, vintage dress finished with a neutral/off-white base colour and complimented with an array of flowers, & foliage, and finished in different shades of yellows, violets, greens, greys and pinks.

Made from premium quality, 100% cotton, (non-stretch), and all the quality you would expect from Laura Ashley. Other features of the dress include. Heavy-duty cotton fabric, non-stretch; the weighted fabric means that the dress hangs beautifully and offers a very flattering fit.

Lined to the chest area of the dress (front & back). V-neckline to the front with x5 fabric coated buttons to fasten and create your own depth of v-neckline.

X2 spare buttons are intact inside the dress. V-neckline to the back of the dress also. Sleeveless with medium sized straps to the shoulders.

A more'fit & flare' style dress; fitted to the chest/top area and then pleated, and floaty, to the skirt area. The skirt area is very floaty, as there are vertical pleats from the waist down which then open up - the hem measures 58.5 inches in width when open! X1 small seam pocket to the right side. Discreet zip to fasten to the left side.

A very pretty garment which are becoming more and more rare as time goes on. Being 5ft 5 tall means the dress falls to the ankle area, so very long in length.

A very elegant and pretty garment; it definitely has the'wow factor. Not lined to the skirt area but it is to the top/bust and back section. Has a very'Bridgerton' and'Quintessential English Rose/Garden' look and style to it, which never goes out of fashion. Very well made/made to last a lifetime. A stunning, quality dress & perfect for many special, and/or party occasions alike.

It could be worn to a wedding, a christening, summer garden party, or an afternoon tea event; it has a multitude of uses. Very good, used condition and all of the quality you would expect from Laura Ashley - especially as it is around 40 years old. As already mentioned, there is some very minor'yellowing' to the neutral/off-white base colour, in a couple of areas of no more than the size of a 10pence coin. All measures will be taken to ensure that the dress is carefully wrapped for the new owner but it may arrive with some creases.

Anyone familiar with this high-end, & prestigious British brand, will know just how good the quality is. It has been carefully cleaned, line dried and lightly ironed, ready for the new owner.
