Vintage 90s Rene Derhy Sleeveless Layered Dress Bead Trim Laces Patchwork Small

  

This is a rare, vintage 90s dress from French label René Derhy. It is sleeveless with a v-neck and has crochet seed bead trim around the neckline and arm openings. Ombre dyed thread is used for the beading. The dress also features laces up the sides. There are four pairs of holes for the laces and the grommets are silver colored.

The dress is composed of three layers: the top layer is a gauzy, slightly sheer fabric in a patchwork print. The second layer is the same type of fabric, but with a polka dot and floral print on a red background.

This floral print is part of the patchwork and is also used for the lacing. The layer next to the skin (the lining) is a solid red, cotton-blend fabric. The dress falls fairly straight, but for shaping there are two vertical seams on the front, running from the bust to the hip.

These seams are repeated on the back. The top layer is shorter than the under layers and the back of the dress is about an inch longer than the front. For closure, there is a covered back zipper with hook and thread loop. Fabric and care: 100% viscose (outer layers); 65% viscose/35% cotton (lining) - Hand wash, line dry, cool iron. Labeled as a French women's size Small, please note the measurements taken flat, one side only unless noted otherwise.

Shoulder to shoulder: 13 1/2 inches. Underarm to underarm: 17 inches. Shoulder to bust: 9 inches.

Bust to waist: 5 1/2 inches. Waist to hip: 7 inches. Hip to hem: 15 inches.

Total length: 36 1/2 inches (back), 35 1/2 inches (front). Arm opening: 18 inches all around. Neck opening: 23 inches all around.
